At Santa Barbara Humane, we recognize that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of life’s most difficult moments. We provide compassionate, non-medical guidance to support families facing the loss of a beloved pet. Our certified Pet Loss Specialist offers emotional support, trusted resources, and thoughtful planning assistance, helping you navigate this deeply personal time with clarity, confidence, and care.

Online Pet Loss Support Groups

Every Sunday by Zoom 12 PM – 2 PM (Pacific Time)

Dr. Kathleen Ayl holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Certified Veterinary Support and Pet Loss Recovery Specialist, a Certified Trauma Support Specialist and a Certified Compassion Fatigue Recovery Specialist. She has dedicated her practice to Pet Loss Support and Compassion Fatigue Support. No cost to join.
