Foster a Dog or Cat in Need

When you become a Foster Care Volunteer, you join a special team of like-minded animal lovers who open their hearts and homes to animals that need extra nurturing, a place to heal, or basic training to set them up for success. You provide the time and we’ll support you every step of the way with supplies, food, medications, and behavior advice. Your foster experience can be tailored around your schedule, skills, and interests. Providing foster care is a great way to get children involved in animal care.

Santa Barbara Humane is currently seeking foster homes for cats and dogs recovering from medical treatment and for dogs that need basic manners training and real-life experiences.
