Hi there! My name is Beauty. I'm a 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix, and am part of our Lonely Hearts Club! I've been at the Santa Maria Campus for over a month, and I really hope to find a loving home soon. My adoption fee has been waived, plus I'll go home with a brand new leash, collar, and harness! You'll also receive a fee-waived training package for me at either our Santa Maria or Santa Barbara Campus with a certified dog trainer. Now: Just LOOK at this face! No, really...look. What do you see? Do you see my big, wide jaw and think, I would never have a Pit Bull. Well, if you only see the shapes and lines that define my appearance, I would love to be able to tell you about all of the things you can't see that make me who I really am. I would tell you that I am someone who hopes to catch just a glimpse of your eye when you walk by. I would tell you I'm someone who's overjoyed yet easily handleable when I find out I get to go for a walk. I would tell you I'm so cute when I hop with excitement while I'm on leash with you (but I know not to pull! It's just so fun being with you, I can't help but hop alongside you!) I would tell you that I love to share affection with you. And I would tell you that I am quick to befriend anyone, no matter what shapes and lines define their own outer appearance. So, maybe I don't look like the dream dog you imagined...but I bet I match the affable, happy personality you think of when you do imagine that doggy. If we all thought about the inner qualities that define someone, maybe we would all have more friends! Oo, and here's something you might be really interested to know: many of the most popular dogs, such as German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, and Labrador Retrievers, are "working breed" dogs. That means they need jobs to do, and need to be kept very busy and stimulated. Not so much for Pit Bull Terrier-types! We're often most content to lounge around with you and relax. Now THAT sounds fun. Let's just be lazy together, make a lazy Sunday out of every day, and start every morning with a HUGE brunch (I like my eggs sunny side up). I'll even help call in to work for you! Just email [email protected] to make an appointment to see me! I'm already spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Plus you'll also get a free bag of food from Purina when you adopt me! Let's make some BEAUTIFUL memories together!
