Hi there! My name is Roux and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus.

I may be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a little time and patience, and you'll have a loyal companion by your side. Once I feel comfortable, you'll find me nudging your hand for pets and soaking up all the attention—I just like to get to know people at my own pace.

I've lived successfully with other cats and young children before, so I have experience being part of a busy household. At 13 pounds, I'm a sturdy, handsome guy with plenty of love to give and lots of cuddles to share.

My laid-back personality means I prefer to take life one step at a time. I might seem a little reserved—or even a bit grumbly—at first, but don't let that fool you. Underneath is a sweet, affectionate cat who's just waiting for the chance to trust you.

Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed.

Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
