Ask About Me
Hi! My name is Sylvester and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 2 year old, male, Domestic Short Hair who is eager for a new home!
While I may be named after a mischievous cartoon character, I am the farthest thing from a troublemaker. I am very easy going and mellow. I spend most of my day napping on my tower or people watching out my window. I am pretty independent and would make a great cat for anyone who works long hours or has a busy day to day schedule. Then at the end of a long day, we can curl up on the couch together to binge your favorite TV show!
The ideal home for me is one that is looking for a low maintenance cat. Ideally, a quiet home environment would be best due to loud noises sometimes scaring me. Speaking of scary, the outdoors can be too much for me, so an indoor only home is preferred please! I wouldn't mind sharing my home with another friendly cat, but I am FIV+. The shelter staff would love to talk with you more about what that means and how you would go about introducing me to your home! Don't worry it doesn't set me back. It is just something to aware of.
Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email [email protected] or call 805-964-4777.
When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
Transfer of animals may be available between our Santa Maria and Santa Barbara Campuses. If an animal you would like to meet is at the campus further away from you, just let us know when you email, and we will be in touch with you if a transfer is available. Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
